Aaron Watkins, Co-Founder

Aaron is a long time executive of the mobile marketing industry, having spent six years with ipsh! Mobile Marketing building a number of award winning mobile campaigns for major brands including Anheuser-Busch, Frito-Lay and Unilever. After ipsh, Aaron was recruited to start the San Francisco office of global mobile agency The Hyperfactory. In 2009, Aaron started consulting in the app marketing space, and eventually wrote the GigaOM guide to app marketing. He has helped dozens of companies understand and succeed in the app space and enjoys the challenges of an ever changing app economy.

Aaron lives in Sacramento with his family and enjoys ballroom dancing, cooking, and board games when he’s not up to his eyebrows in mobile phones.

Brian Collins, Account Executive: Games Division

With a background that includes three different sectors of the economy, Brian brings a bit of everything to Appency. As a staff member to former State Senator and California Lieutenant Governor Abel Maldonado, Brian’s first day as an intern was spent writing a senate floor speech. From that moment, public relations became his passion and he used those skills working with everything from public officials and non-profits to corporate communications and marketing. Outside of work, you’ll often find him rock climbing or on a quest for the perfect pizza (currently located in San Fransisco, although Sacramento has a few contenders too).

Brian’s favorite apps: Plants vs Zombies, Pocket RPG, Dungeon Raid, Wheres my Water, Army of Darkenss, and Shadowgun.

Paige Kirchubel, Account Manager

 

Paige uses her knack for communication and project planning to achieve successful results for clients. Her experiences with public outreach, creative writing, and event planning fueled her passion for public relations to the point that it became Paige’s primary career focus. She enjoys a productive yet fun work environment that encourages a team setting. In her spare time, Paige enjoys running, backpacking, cooking or spending time with family and friends.

Jena Vuylsteke, Account Manager

An avid music lover, Jena joins the Appency team after starting her career as a publicist at a Los Angeles record label. Fostering relationships with media and finding unique angles to pitch her clients are two of the strengths she brings to niche world of mobile marketing and public relations. Outside of the office, Jena enjoys hiking, swimming and going to concerts with her fiancé.

Sara Kewin, Account Coordinator

 

Sara fell in love with the public relations world while working with Girl Scouts in high school, and is excited to move into a new and open market. As a UC Davis student she worked at a newspaper, a law school and has done outreach for organ donation. When she’s not playing with apps you can find Sara baking, scouring the internet for new craft projects or basking in the sun.

Madison Andemahr, PR Intern

Madison is enchanted by the interaction between people and organizations, and hopes to further her career in public relations or in a marketing firm. With experience working at Radio Disney in their Promotions department for almost two years, Madison is trying something new and different at Appency. While known to be a workaholic, in her spare time Madison tries to enjoy being outdoors hiking or going to the beach.

Brooke Bainter, PR/Marketing Intern

Brooke has always had a passion for working with people and enjoys working in a fast pace environment. Shortly after transferring to CSUS, Brooke joined the PRSSA Chapter on campus and began making big strides for her future career. She came to the Appency team in December of 2011 and focuses on maintaining Client Marketing Data. Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, Brooke has a variety of experience in the work field having held many jobs in the past and is now expanding her network here in Sacramento. Notorious for always being on the go, in her spare time Brooke loves to bake, hang out with her family, and watch movies — and she is attached to her iPhone!

Gabi Bui, Social Media Intern

After a summer interning at an ad agency, Gabi decided to pursue the marketing field and stumbled upon Appency. Her work here has kindled her passion for brand management. She takes pleasure in walks in the park with her Maltese dog and DIY crafts. She lives off water, candy and fruits, particularly blueberries. While maintaining Appency’s social media image, she enjoys her time here enduring the sarcastically abusive remarks from the office.

Candice Lee, Social Media Intern

Candice has grown up in three different countries and brings a fresh and unique perspective to Appency. She plans to utilize her communication, psychology and Chinese degrees to help companies gain an online presence through social media outlets. Her passion for marketing was discovered during her last position in the marketing department of Shangri-La hotel, Shanghai. Since then, social media has been an integral part of her life due to its extensive networking capabilities its strong marketing potential in today’s virtual world. In her spare time, you can find Candice traveling and enjoying what the world has to offer, doing laps at the pool, singing along to music on her iPod, or simply getting to know new and interesting people.
